About La Pimenterie
Founded in 2016 in Montreal, La Pimenterie is celebrated for its small-batch, gourmet hot sauces crafted with creativity, precision, and a love for chili peppers. What began as filmmaker Julien Fréchette’s inspired idea has grown into one of Quebec’s most respected hot sauce ateliers.
Drawing from Julien’s global travels and documentary storytelling, each sauce reflects cultures, flavours, and experiences from around the world. La Pimenterie sources peppers locally — including urban farms within 6 km of their workshop — and brews each recipe by hand using carefully selected ingredients.
Their mission is simple: create sauces that explode with flavour, support local growers, and celebrate the vibrant, global world of chili peppers.
