La Pimenterie is based in Montreal and dedicated to distinct spicy products that are delicious and complex! Located in the microbrewing coop MaBrasserie, we brew each sauce in small batches with care and attention to ensure the quality of each and every one. With fair partnerships established with local suppliers, they use organic ingredients as much as possible.

Each sauce is a culinary universe of its own where the spiciness is only the common denominator to the product line. We lean on a wide spectrum of global flavors to allow a wide variety of favorite food pairings.

Hot Sauces:

CHÊNE RÉACTION

A simple hot sauce, yet tasty and complex, composed of fermented peppers, to which we add a touch of oak! A lively heat that quickly gives way to vanilla and wooden notes. A everyday sauce that will please everyone!

Heat level: 5/10

ROYAL BOURBON

An original composition of spices, habaneros, chocolate and a splash of Bourbon! The Middle East meets the Americas in this sauce, perfect with Middle Eastern food, poultry, stews and grilled meat, and to spike your poutine or Bloody Caesar!

Heat Level: 6/10

BOLLYWOOD

Inspired from the subcontinent, this sauce has a rich, powerful taste softened by a hint of maple syrup. Delicious with Asian dishes, soups, grilled chicken, stir-fries and rice or even just to spice up a little mayo or sauce. As intense as travel through India!

Heat Level: 8/10

FUMISTERIE

A flavourful dark sauce. A blend of chocolate habaneros, spices, dark beer and a hint of coffee, this roasty and smoky sauce is a must for fans of spicy barbecue sauces.

Heat Level: 8/10

About La Pimenterie:

Founded in 2016 by filmmaker Julien Fréchette and supported by his better-half, photograph Frédérique Ménard-Aubin, La Pimenterie was conceptualized to be antithesis of the preconceived idea of a hot sauce. It was during a treacherous movie shooting in Iraq, while unable to sleep at night, that he first imagined the hot sauces now produced at La Pimenterie. They then gradually took form in his kitchen after a great number of spicy experimentations!
